Lorilyn Roberts writes, Children of Dreams, sharing the redemptive power of God that can restore that which was lost. This inspiring true-story takes the reader through an intriguing, triumphant journey displaying Christ's miracle working power through the adoption of her own "Children of Dreams." The author openly reveals her heart, God's heart and God's love and faithfulness as she parallels the Spirit of adoption offered from our Heavenly Father with the adoption of her two daughters from third-world countries. Coming from a place of adoption herself, the author has written a touching story that gives life-changing hope, unveiling that through perseverance and absolute trust and dependence upon God, dreams and life-changing hope can be your story as well.

As the author illustrates through her testimony, God can change your tragedy into triumph. Coming from a place of broken dreams, including rejection and abandonment from her spouse, meant that her dreams of having a "forever family" may never happen. As God changed her heart, he also gave her a dream…her children were brought forth from the ends of the Earth, saved from a life of absolute poverty and certain death; the author shares her trials as she endured much opposition in the form of, "… lies, betrayal, sickness, delay, deceit, deception, greed, corruption, suffering, fear, abandonment and sacrifice."

Children of Dreams is a powerful, uplifting and inspiring word encouragement to the Body of Christ. The author offers hope to the reader by intertwining the truth of scripture throughout her book revealing that God can work all things out for good to those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose. (Rom. 8:28). If you love true stories and good endings, this book is for you. Let the truth of this story instill love and hope, let the truth of scripture fill your soul with inspiration, as you give yourself over to the lover of your soul, Jesus Christ. This book will forever leave an imprint of your Heavenly Father's love for you upon your heart. A true delight and testimony to love prevailing over all evil! A highly recommended read.

Christ's Humanity-A Thing to be Grasped by Thomas G. Thompson is an amazing and revealing look at the person of Jesus Christ. Focusing on the humanity of Christ, this book reveals the nature of Christ as the Son of God who was fully God and fully man that came down from Heaven to save the world from their sins. The author quotes this quote as the central theme, "He did not think existing in the form of and being equal to God as something to be grasped, but emptied himself taking the form of a slave." Reading this book will bring a deeper knowledge of the Son of Man and a deeper understanding of the work of the Cross to the forefront; for Christ's humanity and sacrifice cannot be overlooked.

Unique and bathed in Scripture, this book is one that will challenge and teach the reader with a thorough look at the life, incarnation, humiliation, exaltation and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Word of God. This teaching is one of monumental importance, as it will reveal that Christ was God, but also lowered himself to become a man, making all that He experienced and suffered for our sake even more precious and sweeter to the reader. The author expounds from the truth of Scriptural foundations and sound biblical doctrine that Jesus Christ was not only divine in nature, but was also a man without sin, therefore, the perfect sacrificial lamb sent by God for the forgiveness of sins.

The author's sincere hope is that the Body of Christ may be uplifted and encouraged, "…by a more full and true understanding of Christ's humanity." The book addresses topics such as-God, the Unity and Trinity, Christ as God and man, the biblical doctrine as Jesus the Son of God, Christ's humiliation and exaltation, Christ as a Prophet, atonement, justification and sanctification, while including reasonable questions that will be answered throughout the discussion.

Well written and inspiring, this fascinating read will ignite a passion in the reader that will bring a deeper knowledge of the person and humanity of Jesus Christ. A highly recommended read for all those wishing to delve into the Scriptures, this book will strengthen your faith and allow believers to stand upon doctrinal truths that Jesus is who He said He is. Recommended for all those in Christ, or perhaps for even those agnostics out there that don't believe, this book will change one's view. A highly recommended read that will profoundly impact your journey as you come to know Christ more intimately. This work is written and dedicated by the author to all those who love and serve the Lord, who eagerly await His triumphant return. May you be blessed.

Reclaiming Victory: Living in The Gospel

Today, many believe the gospel is nothing more than the basics of Christianity – the first of many steps toward living a victorious life of joy. The gospel of Christ is believed, accepted, and then laid to the side as believers search for the abundant life of materialism, possessions and other worldly joys.

Do you remember the joy that you first experienced when Jesus saved you from your sins? Have ministry programs, self-help principles, and moral mandates drawn you away from the very gospel that first captivated your soul? Do you find yourself struggling to recapture that which has been lost, your first love, joy and the very victory that you experienced when first coming to Christ?

Far too many believers experience this loss of vitality in their spiritual lives and walk with God. In fact, this decline is so common that many say a declining passion is to be expected as a Christian matures!

Even worse, because of our inept view of the gospel, many non-believers disregard the Bible's evidences of salvation, joining the millions of unfulfilled believers in a fruitless search for peace. A peace that escapes them, and is not to be found.

It doesn't have to be that way,

In Reclaiming Victory: Living in The Gospel, author Jason R. Velotta dispels the idea that salvation is just the doorway to the road toward victorious living. With an informative yet captivating style, Reclaiming Victory brings God's Word to the forefront, showing that the gospel itself leads to living the victorious Christian life!

Believers will find that the life of fulfillment is waiting at Calvary, exactly where we left it. Disregard the "recovery" mindset, which has led to helplessness and apathy, for the gospel is not just the doorway to salvation…It is the source for living a victorious Christian life!

Your Savior is waiting…your fulfillment has always been in Him…Victory is already yours! Let us return to our first love and again experience the joy that we first found in Christ.

Trusting in God No Matter What

Trust …

Discouragement has been assailing me over the past few weeks. I have been praying for 11 years for my prodigals to return. I have been praying for about 7 years for The Father to avenge me to my enemies. I have been praying for 4 years for another home to replace the one that was stolen out from under me. I have been praying for the past 15 months since he's been home that the restoration of the healing in my marriage that had happened before my husband's incarceration would "reappear." I have been praying for I don't know how long for The Father to restore my health as my MS continues to decline to the point where we are now in the process of installing hand controls in my car during the last two months of my temporary disability.

During worship Sunday we sang one of my favorite songs, "Your Grace Is Enough." In my devotions yesterday (Monday) I was in Luke 18, reading Jesus' parable about the widow who kept going to the unrighteous judge asking him for legal protection from her enemies. He taught this parable to teach us that we are to keep praying and not lose heart. Today when I checked my Facebook news feed I read a posting from a cousin of a poster that said, "Keep the Faith. The most amazing things in life tend to happen right in the moment you're about to give up hope." As I am in a period where I am barely able to walk, crying out to God how much longer must I wait, how much more must I take, how much worse must I get, what does He do?

He lifts me up. He reminds me in song how much He loves me and that He sees me. He brings my eyes to the exact passage in "His love letter" that I needed to read in my discouragement. He uses the words of a posting on Facebook to remind me that He is working on things, even though I cannot see His hand. God's timing is always perfect. He reminds me that I can trust His love for me, that He has good things in His plan for me. "…Now shall not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them speedily." Luke 18:7, 8a

Two Messiahs by Author Jeff Morton addresses the controversial issue of Christianity and Islam head on and in a season in the world that calls for it. Join these two Messiahs from two world religions as they engage in a friendly conversation down the winding ancient path from Emmanus to Jerusalem.

One of the Two Messiahs is Jesus, the other is Isa, the Prophet of Islam. One is the true Messiah, the Son of God, divine in nature, the other, a man and servant of his god. This makes for some very interesting dialogue. The reader will be intrigued to discover their identities according to each religion (Christianity and Islam), but more importantly the significant differences which can be life changing.

Written by Biola University Professor and author, Jeff Morton reflects and reveals the truth about who Jesus the Messiah is. Two world religions cross paths as the author desires to minister to Muslims and Christians alike in this very different and unique way.

The author has woven together a wonderful story that teaches Christians about Islam and reveals to Muslims why Jesus of Nazareth is the true Son of God sent to bring salvation to the world. The author shines light on the darkness, confusions and lack of both knowledge and understanding for the reader. This book is very relevant for today with world tensions rising in the middle east.
